Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) is inviting applications for Apprentice positions for its Western Onshore Basin operations in Vadodara (Baroda), Gujarat. This opportunity is intended for candidates who have completed Class 10 (10+2 system) and hold an ITI trade certificate in a relevant discipline, and are looking to begin a hands-on career in a large-scale energy and industrial environment.

Responsibilities

As an Apprentice, you will work under supervision and participate in structured on-the-job training aligned with your ITI trade. Typical responsibilities may include:

Supporting day-to-day maintenance and operational activities in assigned sections.
Assisting technicians/engineers in routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, and repairs as per trade.
Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines while working in industrial areas.
Maintaining discipline, attendance, and training records as required by the program.
Learning and applying safe work practices, including use of PPE and compliance with site safety rules.
Helping with documentation, tool handling, housekeeping, and other tasks relevant to the training module.

Requirements

Education: Minimum Class 10 under 10+2 system with 50% marks from a recognized board.
Technical Qualification: ITI trade certificate in the relevant trade.
Age Limit (as on 06-03-2017): Minimum 14 years and maximum 21 years.
Ability to work in an industrial environment and follow safety and compliance requirements.
Basic communication skills and willingness to learn through hands-on training.
