Position Summary
As an AWES teacher (PRT/TGT/PGT), you will plan and deliver curriculum-aligned instruction, assess student progress, collaborate with peers and leadership, and contribute to school initiatives that enhance student learning and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum and grade-level standards.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that supports learning and student well-being.
- Assess student performance through classwork, assignments, projects, and examinations; maintain accurate academic records.
- Provide timely feedback to students and communicate progress effectively to parents/guardians as per school policy.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including remedial support and enrichment activities.
- Participate in academic planning, subject/grade meetings, and professional development programs.
- Support co-curricular activities, school events, assemblies, clubs, and competitions as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with school policies, child safety norms, and examination/assessment protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to drive continuous improvement in teaching-learning practices.
Requirements
- Education: Qualifications as applicable for PRT/TGT/PGT roles (subject-wise and level-wise) as per AWES/CBSE/school norms.
- Subject Expertise: Strong command of the subject and ability to teach at the appropriate grade level.
- Teaching Skills: Lesson planning, classroom management, student assessment, and learner-centered pedagogy.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with students, parents, and staff.
- Technology: Comfort with digital teaching tools, basic productivity software, and online learning platforms (as applicable).
- Professional Conduct: High standards of integrity, punctuality, and adherence to institutional discipline.
- Eligibility/Selection: Selection typically involves screening, written/skill evaluation, interview, and document verification as per school/AWES process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience in CBSE/ICSE/state board schools (role and level dependent).
- Demonstrated ability to improve student outcomes and manage mixed-ability classrooms.
- Experience in co-curricular coaching (debate, sports, arts, STEM clubs, etc.).
- Training/certifications in pedagogy, classroom technology, or child psychology (advantage).
