Role Overview

As an ACF/FRO, you will work in field and administrative capacities to implement forest policies, supervise forest protection activities, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement forest conservation, protection, and afforestation programs.
  • Enforce forest and wildlife laws; support prevention and investigation of illegal logging, encroachment, and poaching.
  • Supervise forest guards and field staff; allocate duties, conduct inspections, and ensure operational readiness.
  • Conduct field surveys, boundary verification, and monitoring of forest health and biodiversity indicators.
  • Prepare and maintain official records, reports, maps, and operational documentation.
  • Coordinate with local administration, law enforcement, communities, and other departments for joint operations and conflict resolution.
  • Support fire prevention and control planning, including readiness drills and emergency response.
  • Assist in community outreach, awareness programs, and initiatives that promote sustainable livelihoods and conservation outcomes.
  • Participate in departmental examinations, trainings, and periodic reviews as required.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant science subjects or Engineering Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical from a recognized university (refer to official notification for detailed subject/criteria).
