Position: Assistant Engineer (AE)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Engineer (AE) to support engineering examination operations and candidate-facing result/answer-key workflows for large-scale public recruitment processes. This role is ideal for candidates with an engineering background who are comfortable working with structured processes, documentation, and coordination across multiple stakeholders.
The position aligns with recruitment/examination environments similar to state public service commission engineering examinations, where accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to timelines are critical.
Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end coordination for engineering recruitment examinations (prelims/mains), including schedules, documentation, and candidate communication readiness.
- Assist in validating and organizing examination artifacts such as answer keys, result notices, and related updates for publication workflows.
- Maintain structured records of exam events (e.g., exam dates, admit card release timelines, vacancy details) and ensure internal consistency across documents.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely release of information (e.g., answer key availability, result status updates).
- Handle candidate support queries related to result/answer key access, instructions, and troubleshooting in a professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements and process controls when handling examination-related information.
- Assist in preparing instruction sets and step-by-step guidance for downloading results/answer keys and navigating official portals.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of operational checklists, templates, and quality assurance steps for exam communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical or related discipline) or equivalent qualification.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes and timelines.
- Comfortable working with official notices, forms, and administrative documentation.
- Basic proficiency with computers and online portals; ability to guide users through common access steps.
- Good written communication skills; ability to draft clear instructions and status updates.
- Professional integrity and ability to handle confidential or sensitive information.
- Preferred: Prior exposure to public sector recruitment/examination processes, documentation workflows, or large-scale operations support.
