Position Overview
As an Assistant Professor (B.Ed), you will contribute to teacher education through classroom instruction, academic mentoring, curriculum development, and scholarly activities aligned with institutional and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching for B.Ed and related teacher education courses as assigned by the department.
- Plan lessons, develop course materials, and use appropriate pedagogy and assessment methods.
- Guide and mentor students in academic progress, projects, internships, and practicum activities.
- Participate in curriculum design/revision and departmental academic planning.
- Engage in research, publications, seminars, workshops, and other scholarly activities as per institutional norms.
- Support examination duties, evaluation, and other academic administrative responsibilities.
- Maintain documentation and compliance related to teaching and academic processes.
Requirements (Eligibility)
- Master’s degree in a B.Ed-related subject (e.g., Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Commerce, Language) with 55% marks and M.Ed with 55% marks; OR
- Master’s in Sociology with 55% marks and a B.Ed (or equivalent); OR
- Ph.D. in Sociology is also considered as per notification provisions.
