Position: Assistant Professor (Medical Education)
We are seeking qualified and motivated medical educators to join our academic faculty as an Assistant Professor (Medical Education). This role focuses on undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, clinical academic responsibilities, research/scholarly activities, and participation in departmental and institutional initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong subject expertise with a passion for teaching, mentoring, and advancing medical education standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and training to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students in the relevant specialty/subject.
- Plan lessons, prepare teaching materials, and contribute to curriculum development aligned with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Participate in student assessment activities, including setting question papers, conducting examinations, and evaluating performance.
- Provide academic mentoring and guidance to students and trainees, including clinical and professional development support.
- Contribute to research, publications, audits, and other scholarly activities within the department.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional initiatives related to quality improvement and accreditation.
- Maintain appropriate academic and administrative records and comply with applicable policies and professional standards.
- Support community/outreach and academic events such as seminars, conferences, workshops, and continuing medical education (CME) programs.
Requirements
- Education: MD/MS or an equivalent postgraduate degree in the relevant subject recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or applicable authority.
- Registration: Registration with the Rajasthan Medical Council or an equivalent medical council.
- Language & Local Knowledge: Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagri script and knowledge of Rajasthan culture.
- Age: Typically 21 years minimum; maximum age as per applicable recruitment rules and permissible relaxations.
- Strong teaching aptitude, communication skills, and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
