Position: Assistant Professor (School Education)

We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Assistant Professor (School Education) to deliver high-quality teaching, contribute to curriculum development, and support academic excellence within a school education or teacher-training environment. Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions aligned with the approved curriculum and academic calendar.

Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, presentations, and continuous assessment methods; provide timely feedback.
Mentor and advise students on academic progress, career pathways, and professional development.
Participate in curriculum development, syllabus updates, and academic quality assurance activities.
Contribute to departmental initiatives such as teacher training workshops, academic events, and outreach programs.
Undertake research, publish in recognized journals, and participate in conferences/seminars as applicable to the institution’s expectations.
Support administrative and academic duties including invigilation, committee work, documentation, and reporting.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching standards, learning outcomes, and institutional performance.

Requirements

Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Education or subject specialization aligned with School Education) from a recognized institution.
Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
Strong communication, classroom management, and learner-engagement skills.
Sound understanding of assessment design, learning outcomes, and modern pedagogical practices.
Ability to work collaboratively in an academic environment and contribute to departmental goals.
Comfort with academic technologies (LMS, digital content tools, online assessment platforms) is preferred.
