Position: Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO)
We are seeking detail-oriented, analytical professionals to support statistical planning, data management, and evidence-based decision-making across programs. The Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) will contribute to the collection, validation, analysis, and reporting of data to support operational and policy objectives.
Responsibilities
- Compile, clean, validate, and maintain statistical datasets from multiple sources.
- Assist in designing data collection formats, schedules, and survey instruments as required.
- Perform statistical analysis and generate periodic reports, tables, and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Support forecasting, trend analysis, and interpretation of socio-economic and administrative data.
- Maintain documentation for data definitions, methodologies, and reporting standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely submission and accuracy of statistical returns.
- Use computer applications and statistical tools to manage data and produce outputs.
- Support audit and compliance needs by ensuring traceability and integrity of datasets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes, quality checks, and reporting workflows.
Requirements
- Second class Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Commerce, or Master’s Degree in one of these subjects with one year diploma in Statistics from a recognized university established by law in India.
- Computer qualification (any one), such as:
- “O” or higher level certificate course conducted by DOEACC (Govt. of India), or
- NIELIT Certificate course on computer concepts, or
- COPA / DPCS certificate under National/State Council or Vocational Training Scheme, or
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Computer Science / Computer Application from a recognized institution, or
- Senior Secondary with Computer Science / Computer Application as a subject, or
- Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized polytechnic, or
- RSCIT (Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota under RKCL).
- Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and comfort working with quantitative information.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly through written reports and structured presentations.
