Responsibilities

  • Support preparation and review of development plans, zoning proposals, and land-use layouts.
  • Assist in urban and regional planning studies, surveys, and data analysis for planning projects.
  • Coordinate with engineering, architecture, and public works stakeholders for planning inputs and feasibility.
  • Review proposals related to urban infrastructure, transportation planning, and public amenities.
  • Help ensure planning work aligns with applicable rules, standards, and government procedures.
  • Prepare reports, notes, and documentation for approvals, meetings, and departmental records.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate degree in one of the following disciplines from a recognized university in India:
    • Civil Engineering
    • Civil & Rural Engineering
    • Urban & Rural Engineering
    • Architecture
    • Construction Technology
    • Urban Planning
  • Age Limit (as on 01 February 2024):
    • Minimum: 18 years
    • Maximum: 45 years
    • Age relaxation: As per MPSC recruitment rules
  • Ability to interpret planning/engineering drawings, regulations, and technical documentation.
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting reports and official notes.
  • Basic proficiency with office tools and willingness to work with departmental systems and processes.

  • Town Planner:
    • General: Rs. 719/-
    • OBC / EWS / PwBD: Rs. 449/-
