State Health Society Bihar (SHSB) is inviting applications from qualified and registered ANM professionals to support public health service delivery across Bihar. This role focuses on community-level maternal and child health services, preventive care, and frontline health program implementation in coordination with the public health system.
Responsibilities
- Provide maternal and newborn healthcare services including antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal care as per public health guidelines.
- Assist in immunization sessions and support implementation of national health programs.
- Conduct basic health assessments, screening, and first-line support for common conditions at the community level.
- Maintain accurate patient records, registers, and reporting documentation as required by the facility/program.
- Support health education and counseling for individuals and families on nutrition, hygiene, family planning, breastfeeding, and disease prevention.
- Coordinate with ASHAs, AWWs, and other frontline workers to ensure effective outreach and follow-ups.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols and maintain clinical hygiene standards.
- Participate in trainings, meetings, and periodic reviews as directed by SHSB/health authorities.
Requirements
- Qualification: 2-year full-time Diploma in Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) from a recognized ANM training institute.
- Registration: Must be registered with the Bihar Nurses Registration Council.
- Age (as on 01 August 2025):
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 40 years (Female UR/EWS)
- Maximum: 40 years (Male/Female BC/MBC)
- Maximum: 42 years (Male/Female SC/ST)
- Age relaxation as per SHSB/Government norms.
- Ability to work in field/community settings and coordinate with public health teams.
- Basic computer skills and comfort with digital reporting systems are preferred.
