AWES Army Public School Teacher (TGT/PGT/PRT)

Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) invites eligible teaching professionals to join Army Public Schools across India for the roles of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Primary Teacher (PRT). Work Locations: Army Public Schools (Pan-India)
Mode of Selection: Online screening examination followed by further recruitment/joining formalities as applicable

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons appropriate to the assigned level (PRT/TGT/PGT) and subject area.
  • Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being.
  • Assess student performance through tests, assignments, projects, and other evaluation methods; maintain accurate academic records.
  • Provide academic support, mentoring, and guidance to students to improve learning outcomes.
  • Participate in lesson planning, departmental meetings, school events, and professional development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership on academic planning, co-curricular activities, and student development programs.
  • Maintain discipline and adhere to school policies, child safety guidelines, and ethical teaching standards.

Requirements

  • PGT: Master’s Degree in the relevant subject/stream with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. with at least 50% marks.
  • TGT: Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject/stream with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. with at least 50% marks.
  • PRT: Graduation Degree with B.Ed. / two-year Diploma / four-year integrated course (as applicable to primary teaching norms).
  • Ability to teach effectively using modern pedagogy and classroom management techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and a student-focused approach to teaching and mentoring.
  • Comfort with technology-enabled teaching tools and online/ICT-supported learning environments is preferred.

Selection Process

  • Selection is based on a written/online screening examination.
  • Shortlisted/selected candidates may be called for further recruitment steps or joining formalities as per AWES/Army Public School requirements.
  • Candidates can access results/scorecards through the official portal using login credentials (e.g., registration/roll number, DOB/password, captcha).
