Position Overview
As an Ayush Medical Officer, you will support public health delivery through AYUSH systems of medicine within the State of Bihar. The role involves clinical services, patient care, documentation, and participation in public health initiatives as per State Health Society guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient clinical consultation and treatment as per the respective AYUSH discipline (Ayurveda/Homeopathy/Unani).
- Ensure safe, ethical, and evidence-informed practice within government healthcare settings.
- Maintain accurate patient records, prescriptions, and reports in line with departmental protocols.
- Participate in public health programs, health camps, awareness drives, and community outreach as assigned.
- Coordinate with medical and administrative teams for referrals, follow-ups, and continuity of care.
- Support implementation of state health initiatives and comply with reporting and monitoring requirements.
- Assist in audits/inspections and ensure adherence to applicable clinical and administrative standards.
Requirements
- Education: Relevant degree from a recognized university approved by the respective Central Councils:
- B.A.M.S. (Ayurvedic)
- B.H.M.S. (Homeopathic)
- B.U.M.S. (Unani)
- Internship: Completion of compulsory rotatory internship.
- Registration: Must be registered with the appropriate Bihar State Medical Council as per discipline.
- Age (as on 01 August 2024):
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 37 years (Male, UR/EWS)
- Maximum: 40 years (Female, UR/EWS)
- Maximum: 40 years (Male/Female, BC/MBC)
- Maximum: 42 years (Male/Female, SC/ST)
- Ability to work in a public healthcare environment and comply with government/SHSB procedures.
