Specialist Officer (SO) – Bank of Baroda

Responsibilities

  • Drive specialized initiatives within the assigned domain (e.g., IT systems, information security, credit appraisal, risk analytics, compliance governance, digital products, or operations excellence).
  • Support policy creation and implementation aligned with regulatory guidelines and internal controls.
  • Perform domain analysis, reporting, and monitoring to improve performance, risk posture, and service quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, dashboards, and management reports for review and audit readiness.
  • Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations for assigned deliverables.
  • Participate in internal/external audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent). Postgraduate qualifications may be preferred for certain specialist tracks.
  • Relevant professional experience in the applicable domain (requirements may vary by SO specialization and grade/scale).
  • Strong understanding of industry practices, controls, and regulatory expectations applicable to banking/financial services.
  • Ability to analyze complex information, identify risks/opportunities, and present actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency with standard productivity tools (spreadsheets, presentations, documentation) and domain-specific tools as applicable.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality and compliance.
