Responsibilities

Maintain law and order and support public safety operations in assigned jurisdictions.
Conduct preliminary inquiries and investigations as per applicable rules and procedures.
Assist in crime prevention initiatives, patrolling, and community engagement activities.
Prepare reports, case documentation, and coordinate with senior officers and relevant units.
Supervise and guide field staff as directed, ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
Support administrative and operational duties as assigned by the department.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate) in any discipline from a recognized university/institution, obtained on or before the last date of application.
Age (as on 01 August 2025):
- Minimum: 20 years
- Maximum: 37 years (UR Male)
- Maximum: 40 years (UR Female)
- Maximum: 40 years (BC/EBC Male & Female)
- Maximum: 42 years (SC/ST Male & Female)
Age relaxation: As per BPSSC rules.
Candidates must be able to meet the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) requirements.
