BPSC Special School Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated Special School Teacher to support learners with diverse needs in an inclusive, structured, and student-centered environment. This role focuses on planning and delivering individualized instruction, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring students receive the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support needed to thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs and learning goals.
  • Provide differentiated instruction using evidence-based strategies for students with disabilities and learning differences.
  • Assess student performance regularly and maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and required records.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, counselors, and administrators to implement accommodations and modifications.
  • Support classroom management through positive behavior interventions and structured routines.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and support strategies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and compliance-related activities as required.
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student independence and confidence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred where applicable).
  • Relevant teaching certification/licensure for Special Education (as per applicable state/board/government norms).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IEP development, inclusive education practices, and differentiated instruction.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working with children with special needs in a school setting is preferred.
  • Comfort with documentation, assessment tools, and maintaining compliance with educational guidelines.
