Key Responsibilities
- Perform trade-specific duties as assigned (as per relevant ITI trade and departmental requirements).
- Carry out maintenance, repair, and service tasks related to the designated trade in field and unit environments.
- Support operational units with technical and logistical trade assistance.
- Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and departmental protocols during all assignments.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in proper condition.
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and verification activities as required during postings and inspections.
Requirements
- Education: Class 10th (Matric) or equivalent from a recognized board in India.
- Technical Qualification: ITI in the relevant trade.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in the relevant trade (as indicated in the recruitment information).
- Age Limit (as on 23 August 2025): 18 to 25 years (age relaxation applicable as per BSF rules).
- Physical Standards (indicative):
- Male: Height 165 cm (Gen/OBC/EWS/SC), 160 cm (ST); Chest 75–80 cm; Race 5 km in 24 minutes.
- Female: Height 155 cm (Gen/OBC/EWS/SC), 148 cm (ST); Race 1.6 km in 8 minutes 30 seconds.
- Ability to work in demanding conditions, including remote and operational areas.
- Willingness to undergo selection stages including physical tests, trade/skill tests, document verification, and medical examination.
