Key Responsibilities
- Assist laboratory officers/technicians in routine laboratory work, including preparation and handling of samples.

- Help in labeling, storage, and safe disposal of laboratory materials and waste as per applicable protocols.

- Support inventory management by tracking consumables, preparing requisitions, and assisting in stock verification.
- Follow laboratory safety rules, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of chemicals/biological materials.
- Assist during inspections, audits, and periodic maintenance activities.
- Perform other duties assigned by the laboratory in-charge consistent with the role.
Requirements
- Education: Candidates should meet the educational qualifications prescribed in the official BSSC notification for Laboratory Assistant (typically relevant science background at intermediate/10+2 or equivalent, as applicable).
