Responsibilities
Responsibilities vary by post and department. Depending on the allotted cadre, the role may include:
- Implementing state policies, schemes, and administrative directives at district/departmental levels.
- Managing public service delivery, citizen grievance redressal, and inter-department coordination.
- Conducting inspections, audits, inquiries, and enforcement actions as per applicable laws and rules.
- Revenue administration, land/revenue casework, and field supervision (for revenue-related posts).
- Tax assessment, compliance monitoring, and reporting (for taxation/commercial tax roles).
- Excise administration, licensing oversight, and enforcement (for excise roles).

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university in India.
- Age Limit (as on 01 January 2024): Minimum 21 years; maximum 28–40 years (post-wise), with applicable relaxations as per CGPSC rules.
