We are seeking a Civil Judge to adjudicate civil matters, manage court proceedings, and deliver fair, well-reasoned judgments in accordance with applicable laws and judicial standards. This role requires strong legal acumen, impeccable integrity, and the ability to manage a high-volume docket with professionalism and impartiality.

Responsibilities

Preside over civil court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and interim applications.
Interpret and apply statutes, precedents, procedural rules, and principles of natural justice.
Evaluate evidence, hear arguments from counsel/parties, and ensure due process is followed.
Draft, review, and deliver orders and judgments that are clear, legally sound, and timely.
Manage case flow effectively, including scheduling, adjournments, and compliance monitoring.
Maintain courtroom decorum and ensure respectful conduct by all participants.
Handle administrative responsibilities related to court management and coordination with court staff.
Ensure proper maintenance of records, filings, and case documentation as per court procedures.
Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and independence of the judiciary.

Requirements

Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Eligibility to be appointed as a Civil Judge as per the relevant service/judicial rules and applicable regulations.
Strong knowledge of civil laws and procedures (e.g., civil procedure, evidence, contracts, property, torts, and related statutes).
Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and write structured, well-reasoned decisions.
Excellent communication skills, including courtroom management and clear drafting.
High standards of integrity, impartiality, and professional conduct.
Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet strict timelines.
Comfort with standard court/case management systems and basic computer proficiency.
