Key Responsibilities

  • Handle customer transactions including cash deposits/withdrawals, account servicing, and routine counter operations (as applicable to branch assignment).
  • Support account opening processes, KYC documentation checks, and customer data updates as per internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist in processing inward/outward clearing, remittances, and other payment services while maintaining accuracy and turnaround time.
  • Maintain records, registers, and documentation for audits, reconciliations, and compliance reporting.
  • Respond to customer queries, provide product/service information, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Support cross-functional branch operations such as dispatch, filing, MIS preparation, and coordination with head-office teams.
  • Ensure adherence to operational controls, security procedures, and confidentiality standards.
  • Contribute to service quality initiatives, queue management, and customer experience improvements.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate in any discipline (preferred). Candidates with relevant commerce/banking background may be given preference.
  • Experience: Freshers may apply; prior banking/financial services or customer service experience is an advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and customer handling skills.
    • Comfortable with computers and basic office applications; ability to learn core banking systems.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing and documentation.
    • Basic understanding of banking operations, KYC, and compliance (training may be provided).
  • Other: Integrity, reliability, and ability to work in a process-driven environment.
