Computer Instructor

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Computer Instructor to deliver high-quality computer education and practical lab instruction. The role focuses on building learners’ digital literacy, programming fundamentals, and job-ready IT skills through structured lessons, hands-on exercises, and continuous assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver classroom and lab sessions on computer fundamentals, operating systems, office productivity tools, internet safety, and introductory programming as per the prescribed curriculum.
  • Develop lesson plans, presentations, assignments, practical exercises, and evaluation rubrics aligned with learning outcomes.
  • Conduct assessments (quizzes, practical exams, projects) and maintain accurate academic records including attendance, marks, and progress reports.
  • Provide individualized support to learners, including doubt-clearing sessions and remedial coaching where required.
  • Manage computer lab operations: ensure systems are functional, software is updated, and basic troubleshooting is performed or escalated appropriately.
  • Promote safe and responsible use of technology, including cybersecurity awareness and academic integrity.
  • Coordinate with academic administration on schedules, examination readiness, and documentation.
  • Participate in institutional activities such as orientation programs, workshops, and faculty development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications (BCA), or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Proficiency in computer fundamentals, MS Office/LibreOffice, internet tools, and basic networking concepts.
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java) and basic database concepts (e.g., SQL).
  • Prior teaching/training experience in a school, college, coaching institute, or vocational setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse learners.
  • Comfortable with classroom management, learner engagement techniques, and outcome-based teaching.
  • Basic troubleshooting ability for common hardware/software issues in a lab environment.
  • Willingness to follow institutional policies, assessment standards, and documentation practices.
