Position: Conductor (Public Transport)

Overview: RSSB is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Conductor to support safe, efficient, and passenger-friendly public transport operations. The Conductor is responsible for ticketing, passenger assistance, route coordination, and ensuring compliance with operational and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Issue tickets/fare receipts accurately and manage cash or digital fare collection as per prescribed procedures.
Assist passengers with boarding, seating, and general travel-related guidance; address basic passenger queries courteously.
Coordinate with the driver and depot/control room to support smooth route operations and adherence to schedules.
Ensure compliance with applicable transport rules, departmental instructions, and safety protocols.
Maintain records and complete required operational documentation (as applicable).
Support crowd management and orderly conduct inside the vehicle, including facilitating priority seating where required.
Report incidents, lost-and-found items, passenger issues, or operational irregularities to the appropriate authority.

Requirements

Education: Passed Class 12 (Intermediate) from a recognized board.
License: Valid Conductor License issued by a recognized authority.
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026): 18 to 40 years (age relaxation as per applicable recruitment rules).
Ability to communicate clearly with passengers and staff; strong attention to detail for fare/ticketing accuracy.
Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends/holidays, and to operate in field conditions.
Basic fitness suitable for on-duty standing/walking and handling routine operational tasks (subject to medical examination, if applicable).
