We are hiring a Content Editor (Government Exam Updates) to manage and publish timely, accurate, and well-structured updates related to government recruitment and exam information. This role focuses on creating and maintaining content such as answer keys, revised/re-revised answer keys, admit cards, exam dates, results, important links, and step-by-step instructions for candidates.
You will work closely with a content operations team to ensure every post is consistent, compliant, and easy for users to understand. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with high-volume updates, and skilled in writing clear instructions and organizing information into user-friendly sections.
Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and publish exam-related updates (e.g., answer keys, revised answer keys, admit cards, exam notices, results, syllabus, previous papers).
- Convert raw source information into structured posts with clear sections such as Important Dates, Vacancy Details, Status, Instructions, and Important Links.
- Verify details (post name, exam date, number of vacancies, link labels, and status updates) for accuracy and consistency before publishing.
- Write step-by-step guidance for users (e.g., how to download answer keys, how to file objections, how to find set/booklet-wise PDFs).
- Maintain link hygiene: ensure all links are correct, properly labeled, and updated when revised/re-revised documents are released.
- Optimize content for readability and basic SEO (titles, aliases, internal linking, and keyword placement) without sacrificing clarity.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize urgent updates and handle corrections quickly.
- Maintain editorial standards and formatting consistency across posts (headings, lists, and HTML structure).
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in content editing, web publishing, or editorial operations (education/government exam content is a strong plus).
- Excellent English and Hindi reading comprehension (ability to interpret bilingual source material and link text).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to catch inconsistencies in dates, exam names, and document versions (e.g., answer key vs. revised vs. re-revised).
- Comfortable working with HTML-based editors and formatting content using headings, paragraphs, and lists.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines during peak exam seasons while maintaining accuracy.
- Basic understanding of government exam ecosystem (recruitment boards, admit cards, answer keys, objection windows, results) preferred.
- Familiarity with CMS tools (WordPress or similar) is a plus.
Benefits
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Flexible work options (remote/hybrid depending on location and team needs).
- Structured onboarding and editorial guidelines to help you succeed.
- Opportunities to grow into senior editorial, QA, or content operations roles.
- Supportive team culture focused on accuracy, speed, and user impact.
