Position: Court Master (Supreme Court of India)

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Court Master to support court proceedings, ensure accurate documentation, and coordinate day-to-day courtroom operations. This role is ideal for professionals with strong administrative skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a high-stakes judicial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in day-to-day courtroom operations and ensure smooth conduct of hearings.
  • Maintain and update cause lists, case files, and courtroom records as per prescribed procedures.
  • Coordinate with judges, advocates, court staff, and registry personnel to facilitate hearings and scheduling.
  • Record courtroom proceedings as required and ensure accurate documentation and timely submission of notes/records.
  • Manage court documents including filing, indexing, tracking, and retrieval while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Support compliance with court protocols, decorum, and administrative instructions.
  • Handle correspondence and administrative tasks related to listings, notices, and case movement.
  • Assist with verification of documents and ensure completeness/accuracy before submission or circulation.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree from a recognized university (or equivalent qualification as per applicable recruitment rules).
  • Strong proficiency in English (reading, writing, and communication); Hindi proficiency is a plus.
  • Excellent typing/data entry skills and comfort working with office productivity tools.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality.
  • Prior experience in legal/judicial administration, court operations, or government/registry work is preferred.
  • Ability to work under time-sensitive conditions, including extended hours during peak court schedules.
