Responsibilities
Technical Assistant responsibilities may include:
- Supporting laboratory and technical operations in assigned scientific/technical areas.
- Operating, maintaining, and assisting with routine troubleshooting of lab instruments/equipment.
- Preparing materials, reagents, samples, and maintaining basic documentation/records as required.
- Assisting research teams and technical staff with day-to-day technical tasks.
- Following safety protocols and institute procedures for lab and facility operations.
Technician-1 (Support Staff) responsibilities may include:
- Providing trade-based support work aligned with ITI specialization (as applicable).
- Assisting in routine maintenance, support services, and operational tasks.
- Handling basic equipment upkeep and support activities under supervision.
- Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and compliance in work areas as per institute norms.
- Supporting documentation, inventory assistance, and other operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
Educational Qualification (as per post):
- Technical Assistant: Diploma or B.Sc. in the relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Technician-1 (Support Staff): Class 10 pass and ITI certificate in the relevant trade.
Age Limit (as on 26 December 2025):
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 28 years
- Age relaxation will be applicable as per CSIR/CDRI rules.
