CSIR–Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT) invites applications for the position of Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA). This role supports core administrative operations across office management, documentation, coordination, and service delivery to internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in office tools, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a professional institutional environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day secretarial and administrative support to assigned sections/units.
- Draft, format, and process official correspondence, notes, letters, and reports.
- Maintain files, registers, records, and documentation (physical and digital) as per organizational procedures.
- Handle data entry, document scanning, and management of spreadsheets and office databases.
- Coordinate scheduling, meeting logistics, minutes preparation, and follow-ups with stakeholders.
- Support procurement, inventory tracking, and basic office logistics as assigned.
- Assist in processing routine administrative workflows (e.g., dispatch, receipts, inward/outward registers).
- Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with institutional policies and government norms.
Requirements
- Education: Typically requires completion of 10+2 / Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized board (as applicable to the official notification).
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office/office productivity tools (Word, Excel, email, document handling).
- Good typing/data-entry accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage files, records, and administrative processes systematically.
- Experience: Prior administrative/clerical experience is desirable but may not be mandatory (subject to official rules).
- Other: Professional conduct, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a structured government/CSIR environment.
