This is a government recruitment opportunity for qualified Dental Hygienists to support public oral health services across Bihar. Selected candidates will be appointed as per applicable BTSC/Government of Bihar rules and will participate in clinical support, preventive oral care, patient education, and program implementation.
Responsibilities
- Assist dental surgeons and clinical teams in providing oral healthcare services in assigned government facilities.
- Perform dental hygiene procedures and preventive care support as permitted under applicable regulations and scope of practice.
- Educate patients and communities on oral hygiene practices, preventive measures, and follow-up care.
- Support infection prevention and control (IPC) practices, sterilization protocols, and clinic hygiene standards.
- Maintain accurate records, registers, and documentation related to patient care and program activities.
- Participate in public health initiatives, outreach activities, and oral health awareness programs as directed.
- Coordinate with supervisors for reporting, stock/consumables tracking, and routine operational needs.
- Comply with Government/BTSC service rules, ethical standards, and Bihar State Dental Council guidelines.
Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Biology as one of the subjects from a recognized board/university.
- Completed a 2-year Diploma in Dental Hygiene (Dental Hygienist) from an institution recognized by the Bihar Government/any other State Government/Union Government.
- Must be registered as a Dental Hygienist with the Bihar State Dental Council.
Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum (Male): 37 years
- Maximum (Female UR / BC / EBC): 40 years
- Maximum (SC / ST): 42 years
- Age relaxation applicable as per BTSC recruitment rules.
