Position: Dresser
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Dresser to support clinical teams by assisting with wound care, dressing changes, basic patient preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and readiness of treatment areas. This role is ideal for candidates who are committed to safe healthcare practices, infection control, and compassionate patient service.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare staff with wound dressing, bandaging, and basic first-aid support as per standard protocols and supervision.
- Prepare patients for minor procedures by ensuring comfort, cleanliness, and readiness of the treatment area.
- Maintain hygiene and infection-control standards in dressing rooms and clinical areas, including proper disposal of biomedical waste.
- Clean, sterilize, and arrange instruments and supplies required for dressing and minor procedures.
- Support patient flow by coordinating with nurses, pharmacists, and clinicians for timely care delivery.
- Maintain basic records/logs as required (e.g., dressing materials usage, patient assistance logs) in accordance with facility guidelines.
- Follow safety procedures, including use of PPE, hand hygiene, and prevention of cross-contamination.
- Assist in stock checking and timely requisition of dressing materials and consumables.
Requirements
- Education: Matriculation (or equivalent).
- Certification: C.M.D certificate from a government-recognized institution.
- Knowledge of basic wound care practices, dressing materials, and infection-prevention protocols.
- Ability to work in a clinical environment with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality.
- Comfort with standing for extended periods and assisting in routine clinical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and adherence to instructions.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork mindset.
