Position Summary

Responsibilities
- Drive official vehicles safely and responsibly for authorized travel.
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of official documents and despatch items.
- Perform duties as a despatch rider/process server as assigned, including delivery and service of documents as per instructions.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, basic upkeep, and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow traffic rules, departmental protocols, and confidentiality requirements.
- Support office operations with related duties as assigned by the competent authority.
Requirements
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 27 years
- Age relaxation applicable as per DSSSB recruitment rules.
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Chauffeur (Driver):
- Matric / Higher Secondary examination from a recognized board in India.
- Valid driving license for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV).
- Minimum 2 years of unblemished experience in driving.
- Preference: Candidates working as Drivers in Indian Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces.
- Note: Chauffeurs may be asked to perform duties of Despatch Van Driver (Rider) or Despatch Rider.
- Despatch Rider-cum-Process Server:
- Matric / Higher Secondary examination from a recognized board in India.
- Valid driving license for LMV / Motorcycle.
- Minimum 2 years of unblemished driving experience.
Selection Process
- Written Exam: 100 marks
- Driving Test: 150 marks
- Interview: 15 marks
