Female Health Worker (ANM)

We are seeking a dedicated Female Health Worker (ANM) to support community and primary healthcare services with a focus on maternal and child health, preventive care, and public health outreach. This role involves field-based work, coordination with health facilities, accurate record-keeping, and participation in government health programs and campaigns.

This position is suited for candidates with an ANM Diploma/Degree from a recognized institution who are comfortable working in community settings and following clinical and public health protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic nursing care and support services at sub-centers/health facilities and during field visits as per applicable guidelines.
  • Support maternal health services including antenatal and postnatal care follow-ups, counseling, and referrals as required.
  • Assist in child health services including growth monitoring, counseling for nutrition, and coordination for immunization sessions.
  • Support implementation of public health programs, awareness drives, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain and update registers, beneficiary records, and routine reports; ensure accuracy and timely submission.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, and local stakeholders to ensure service delivery.
  • Identify high-risk cases, ensure appropriate escalation/referral, and support continuity of care.
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality standards in all patient interactions.
  • Participate in trainings, meetings, and periodic reviews; implement learnings in day-to-day work.
  • Support document verification and compliance requirements as per recruitment/departmental norms.

Requirements

  • Education: ANM Degree/Diploma from a recognized university/institution in India.
  • Eligibility:</strong Candidates with a valid PET 2023 score card may be required/considered as per the applicable recruitment rules.
  • Age:</strong Typically 21 to 40 years (age relaxations may apply as per rules).
  • Basic knowledge of community health, maternal & child health, and public health practices.
  • Ability to maintain records and complete documentation accurately.
  • Comfortable with fieldwork and working with diverse communities.
  • Good communication and counseling skills; ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Willingness to comply with selection stages such as written examination, document verification, and medical examination as applicable.
