HP Police Constable (Male/Female)

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) invites online applications for the recruitment of HP Police Constable positions for eligible candidates. Responsibilities

• Maintain public order and support law enforcement operations as per department procedures.
• Perform beat duties, patrolling, and respond to incidents and public complaints.
• Assist in traffic control, crowd management, and public safety initiatives.
• Support investigation-related tasks as assigned by senior officers (e.g., documentation, evidence handling support).
• Coordinate with team members and follow chain-of-command instructions.
• Maintain readiness for duty, including participation in training and physical fitness standards.

Requirements

• Education: 10+2 (12th Pass) from a recognized board.
• Age Limit: 18 to 26 years (age relaxation as per applicable recruitment rules).
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Standards:
  • Male Candidates:
    • 1500 meters race: 5 minutes 30 seconds (no additional attempt)
    • High jump: 1.35 meters (maximum three attempts)
    • 100 meters race: 14 seconds (no additional attempt)
    • Broad jump: 4 meters (maximum three attempts)
  • Female Candidates:
    • 800 meters race: 3 minutes 45 seconds (no additional attempt)
    • High jump: 1.10 meters (maximum three attempts)
    • 100 meters race: 17 seconds (no additional attempt)
    • Broad jump: 3 meters (maximum three attempts)
• Ability to work in challenging field conditions, including shifts, nights, and public-facing duties.
• Strong integrity, discipline, communication skills, and commitment to public service.
