Position: ISS Exam Cutoff Marks Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented ISS Exam Cutoff Marks Analyst to research, compile, validate, and publish accurate cutoff marks and related exam analytics for competitive examinations. This role blends data accuracy, content operations, and stakeholder coordination to ensure timely, trustworthy updates for candidates and readers.
Responsibilities
- Research and collect ISS exam cutoff marks from official sources (commission websites, notices, PDFs, press releases) and reputable publications.
- Validate cutoff data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across categories, stages, and years.
- Maintain structured datasets (year-wise, category-wise, paper/stage-wise) and document source references for auditability.
- Create and update web-ready content pages for cutoff marks, including clear tables, summaries, and contextual notes.
- Track updates such as revised cutoffs, final cutoffs, and corrections; publish changes promptly with proper versioning.
- Coordinate with editors, SEO/content teams, and developers to ensure formatting, internal linking, and page performance standards.
- Respond to user feedback and queries related to cutoff marks; investigate discrepancies and propose corrections.
- Monitor competitor and industry content for coverage gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with editorial guidelines, copyright rules, and responsible citation practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferred: Statistics, Economics, Journalism, Public Administration, or related fields).
- 1+ years of experience in data research, content operations, education publishing, or exam-related portals (freshers with strong skills may be considered).
- Strong ability to interpret official notices, PDFs, and tabular data with high accuracy.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (sorting, filtering, validation, basic formulas); comfort working with structured datasets.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain cutoff trends clearly and objectively.
- Working knowledge of CMS tools (e.g., WordPress) and basic HTML for clean content formatting.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to meet tight publication deadlines.
- Familiarity with competitive exams and common cutoff structures (prelims/mains/interview, category-wise cutoffs) is a plus.
