Position: Junior Intelligence Officer Grade II (Tech)

Overview: The Intelligence Bureau (IB) invites applications for the role of Junior Intelligence Officer Grade II (Tech). This position supports critical technical operations through maintenance, troubleshooting, and handling of electronics/IT systems and related technical assets. The role is suited for candidates with a strong foundation in engineering/diploma disciplines or science/computer applications and an interest in public service and national security operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot technical systems and equipment related to electronics, communication, and IT infrastructure.
- Support installation, configuration, and upkeep of hardware/software components as required by operational teams.
- Assist in diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and timely resolution of technical faults.
- Maintain technical documentation, logs, and records as per departmental protocols.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure continuity and reliability of technical services.
- Follow security, confidentiality, and compliance requirements applicable to sensitive government environments.
Requirements
- Age Limit (as on 14 September 2025): 18 to 27 years (age relaxation as per applicable recruitment rules).
- Education (any one):
- Diploma in Engineering in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Communication / Electrical & Electronics / Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Computer Applications from a government recognized university/institute; OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Electronics / Computer Science / Physics / Mathematics from a government recognized university/institute; OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications (BCA) from a government recognized university/institute.
- Ability to work with technical tools, systems, and structured procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a secure and process-driven environment.
