Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSNPDCL) is inviting applications for the position of Junior Lineman. This role supports field operations for power distribution, including installation, maintenance, and restoration activities across designated regions in Telangana.
Responsibilities
- Assist in installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical distribution lines and associated equipment.
- Perform routine inspections to identify faults, damages, and safety risks in overhead/underground distribution systems.
- Support breakdown maintenance and restoration work to ensure timely power supply recovery.
- Carry out line work in accordance with safety procedures, statutory guidelines, and departmental instructions.
- Participate in field tests and operational checks as assigned by supervisors/engineers.
- Maintain basic job-related records and support documentation requirements during verification processes.
- Successfully complete required trade/skill assessments such as climbing and practical field tasks.
Requirements
- Education: SSC / SSLC / 10th class from a recognized board, along with ITI in Electrical / Wireman Trade OR 2-year Vocational Intermediate Course in Electrical Trade from a recognized board (Combined Telangana/AP State Education Department).
- Age Limit (as on 01-Jan-2018): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 35 years.
- Skills: Understanding of electrical safety practices, ability to work outdoors and at heights, and willingness to work in field conditions.
- Selection Process: Written Test, Climbing Test, and Document Verification.
