Position: Junior Panchayat Secretary

Location: Telangana

We are seeking detail-oriented and community-focused professionals to support Panchayat Raj and rural development administration. The Junior Panchayat Secretary plays a key role in assisting local governance operations, coordinating public service delivery, maintaining records, and supporting implementation of government programs at the village level.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in day-to-day administrative functions of the Gram Panchayat office, including documentation, correspondence, and record maintenance.
  • Support implementation and monitoring of rural development and Panchayat Raj schemes as assigned by supervising authorities.
  • Maintain registers, files, and reports related to Panchayat activities, finances, assets, and public works in accordance with applicable rules.
  • Coordinate with local stakeholders, field staff, and government departments to facilitate service delivery and program execution.
  • Help organize meetings, prepare agendas/minutes, and follow up on action items for Panchayat-related proceedings.
  • Support citizen-facing services, including receiving applications/requests and routing them through appropriate channels.
  • Use computers and standard office software to prepare reports, data entries, and official communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in line with Panchayat Raj administrative requirements.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized university/institution.
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of computers and basic office applications.
  • Age Limit (as per referenced notification): 18 to 39 years (age relaxation as per Government of Telangana rules).
  • Ability to work with accuracy, maintain confidentiality of records, and follow government procedures.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work in a public-service environment.

  • Selection is based on Written Examination and/or Interview as per the applicable recruitment process.
