Responsibilities
Responsibilities vary by post. Selected candidates will typically be expected to:
- Perform role-specific duties in clinical, diagnostic, laboratory, OT, pharmacy, radiology/radiotherapy, dialysis, nuclear medicine, or administrative units.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, registers, and reports as per departmental protocols.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot relevant equipment (where applicable) following safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, technicians, and administrative teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Follow institutional SOPs, patient confidentiality norms, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support audits, inspections, inventory management, and documentation processes.

Age Limit (as on 01 July 2024)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Age relaxation as per KGMU Non-Teaching Recruitment rules.
Educational Qualifications (Post-wise)
- Technical Officer (Medical Perfusion): B.Sc. with Perfusion Technology certificate; 5 years experience.
- Technician (Radiology): 10+2 (Science) or B.Sc. (Hons.) in Radiography; relevant experience.
- Technician (Radiotherapy): 10+2 (Science) or B.Sc. (Hons.) in Radiotherapy; relevant experience.
- Technical Officer (Ophthalmology): B.Sc. in Ophthalmic Techniques (or equivalent).
- Technical Officer (ENT): B.Sc. in Speech and Hearing.
- Medical Lab Technologist (Lab): Bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Technology/Science; 2 years experience.
- Jr. Medical Lab Technologist (Lab): 10+2 (Science) + 2-year Diploma in MLT; 1 year experience.
- OT Assistant (OT): B.Sc. or 10+2 (Science) with 5 years experience in relevant area.
- Technician (Nuclear Medicine): B.Sc. (Life Science) + 1-year Diploma in Medical Radiation & Isotope Techniques.
- Technician Gr 2 (Dental): Class 10th + Diploma in Dental Hygiene/Dental Mechanic/Maxillofacial Prosthesis; registered.
- Technician (Dialysis): B.Sc. or B.Sc. with Diploma in Dialysis Technology; 1 year experience.
- Medical Social Service Officer: Master’s in Social Work; experience in welfare/health agency.
- Receptionist: Degree; PG Diploma in Journalism/Public Relations preferred.
- Pharmacist Gr-2: Diploma in Pharmacy; registered pharmacist.
- Librarian Grade 2: B.Sc. (or equivalent) + Diploma in Library Science.
- Assistant Security Officer: Degree with required physical standards; 5 years experience in security.
- Computer Programmer: BE/B.Tech (CS/CE) or MCA.
