Position: Local Bank Officer (LBO)

We are seeking customer-focused, integrity-driven professionals to join as Local Bank Officers (LBO). This role is ideal for graduates who are passionate about retail banking, relationship management, and delivering high-quality service in a local market. The LBO will support branch operations, customer acquisition, and portfolio servicing while ensuring compliance with banking policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and onboard new customers for retail banking products (CASA, deposits, loans, cards, digital banking).
  • Build and manage customer relationships, understand financial needs, and recommend suitable banking solutions.
  • Support branch banking operations including account opening, KYC, documentation, and customer service.
  • Promote digital adoption (mobile/internet banking) and educate customers on safe banking practices.
  • Assist in loan sourcing, preliminary appraisal support, documentation coordination, and follow-ups as required.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance (KYC/AML).
  • Handle customer queries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and service excellence.
  • Support business growth initiatives, local outreach activities, and cross-functional coordination within the branch/region.
  • Maintain accurate records, MIS reporting, and documentation as per process guidelines.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university in India.
  • Language: Proficiency in the desired local language of the state/region of posting.
  • Age: 20 to 30 years (age relaxation as per applicable rules/policy).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Basic understanding of banking products, financial services, and compliance expectations is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a target-driven environment while maintaining service quality and ethical standards.
  • Comfort with digital tools and banking systems; proficiency in MS Office is an advantage.
