Position: Management Trainee (Supply Chain & Operations)

Overview
We are hiring motivated graduates to join our Management Trainee program focused on end-to-end food grain supply-chain operations. This role offers structured training across procurement support, depot operations, inventory control, movement/logistics coordination, and cross-functional stakeholder management. Successful trainees will build a strong foundation in operational excellence, compliance, and service delivery across geographically distributed sites.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day depot and warehouse operations including receiving, storage, dispatch, and documentation.
  • Assist with inventory management processes such as stock verification, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Coordinate movement and logistics activities to ensure timely transportation and distribution.
  • Maintain operational records and ensure adherence to applicable policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, technical, accounts, engineering) to resolve operational issues.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Support audits and inspections by preparing required data, registers, and operational evidence.
  • Contribute to stakeholder communication and service coordination across assigned zones/locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university/college.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Comfort working in operational environments (depots, warehouses, field locations) and across shifts as needed.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and office tools for reporting and documentation.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams across locations.
  • Willingness to be posted across different offices/depots as per organizational requirement.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a structured training environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to supply chain, logistics, warehousing, or operations through internships/projects.
  • Understanding of inventory control concepts and basic accounting/record-keeping.
  • Experience working in multi-location or high-compliance environments.

Selection Process

Selection may include a written assessment followed by further evaluation stages such as group discussion and/or personal interview, depending on organizational requirements and role specialization.
