Position: Mineral Development Officer
We are seeking a qualified Mineral Development Officer to support mineral resource planning, regulatory compliance, field inspections, and technical assessments related to mineral development activities. This role involves coordination with internal stakeholders and external agencies, preparation of technical reports, and participation in examination/assessment-driven selection processes as applicable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and technical evaluations of mineral exploration and mining activities.
- Review geological and mining documentation, including maps, reports, and related technical submissions.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of mineral development initiatives and policies.
- Prepare clear technical notes, compliance observations, and inspection summaries for review and recordkeeping.
- Coordinate with relevant departments and stakeholders to ensure adherence to applicable rules and procedures.
- Assist in data compilation, analysis, and reporting related to mineral resources and operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes related to mineral administration and oversight.
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Second class M.Sc. in Geology/Applied Geology or M.Tech in Geology or Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
- Strong understanding of geology/mining fundamentals and ability to interpret technical information.
- Ability to prepare structured reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Comfort with field work, inspections, and interdepartmental coordination.
- Good communication skills and professional integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in mining/geology projects, regulatory environments, inspections, or technical audits.
- Familiarity with government-style procedures, documentation standards, and examination-based recruitment processes.
- Proficiency with basic data tools and report preparation workflows.
