Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of light motor vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, and heavy passenger motor vehicles for compliance with transport and safety regulations.
- Assess vehicle roadworthiness and fitness parameters, including checks related to petrol and diesel engine vehicles.
- Support enforcement of transport rules by preparing reports, documentation, and inspection findings.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities for compliance actions, verification activities, and operational follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate records and use computer systems for reporting, data entry, and administrative tasks.
- Perform duties requiring field movement and driving as needed for inspections and official work.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of work experience in an automobile workshop of an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) undertaking repairs of LMV/HGV/HPV vehicles fitted with petrol and diesel engines.
- Driving License: Valid license authorizing driving of motorcycle with gear and light motor vehicles.
- Language: Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric standard or higher education.
- Computer Knowledge: Required.
- Age Limit (as on 22 August 2024): 18 to 42 years (age relaxation as per rules).
