MPPSC invites applications for the post of Mining Inspector. The Mining Inspector supports regulatory oversight of mining activities, helps ensure compliance with applicable laws and safety standards, and assists in field inspections, reporting, and coordination with relevant government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field inspections of mining sites to assess compliance with mining rules, environmental norms, and safety regulations.
  • Verify permits, licenses, production records, and transportation documentation related to mineral extraction and dispatch.
  • Identify violations and prepare inspection notes, reports, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Assist in monitoring illegal mining activities and support enforcement actions as per departmental procedures.
  • Coordinate with district administration, police, and other departments during inspections and compliance drives.
  • Maintain accurate records, registers, and documentation as required by the department.
  • Support sampling, measurement, and basic technical assessments as per role requirements.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, audits, and any assigned administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Educational qualification and eligibility as prescribed by MPPSC for the Mining Inspector post (refer to the official MPPSC notification for exact criteria).
  • Working knowledge of mining operations, mineral regulations, and field inspection practices is preferred.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work in field conditions across assigned areas.
