Position: Admissions Officer (University Admissions & Student Services)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and student-focused Admissions Officer to support end-to-end admissions operations, applicant communications, and coordination with academic departments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping applicants navigate the admission process while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the admissions workflow, including application intake, document verification, eligibility checks, and status updates.
  • Respond to applicant inquiries via email, phone, and in-person channels; provide clear guidance on requirements, deadlines, and processes.
  • Coordinate with academic departments and administrative units to validate program-specific criteria and seat availability.
  • Maintain accurate applicant records in admissions databases/CRM systems; ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Support publication and updates of admission notices, instructions, and FAQs on official channels.
  • Assist in organizing entrance tests, interviews, counseling sessions, and document verification drives (as applicable).
  • Prepare reports and dashboards on application volumes, conversion metrics, and processing timelines for leadership review.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional policies and applicable regulatory guidelines for admissions and record keeping.
  • Collaborate with finance teams on fee-related queries and payment reconciliation where required.
  • Contribute to outreach initiatives such as webinars, campus visits, and applicant engagement programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification is a plus.
  • 1–3 years of experience in admissions, student services, education administration, or a similar role (freshers with strong administrative skills may be considered).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced admissions cycle.
  • Proficiency with MS Office/Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, email tools); familiarity with CRM/admissions portals is preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and follow established processes.
  • Comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders and working during peak admission periods.
