Responsibilities
- Provide safe, ethical, and patient-centered nursing care in assigned wards/units.
- Monitor patient conditions, record vital signs, and report clinical changes to the medical team.
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders and institutional protocols.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation, including nursing notes, medication charts, and care plans.
- Assist in clinical procedures, infection prevention practices, and emergency response as required.
- Educate patients and attendants on care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and adherence to standards.
- Support quality and safety initiatives, including audits, incident reporting, and compliance activities.
Requirements
- Education: B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, or GNM Diploma.
- Registration: Must be registered with the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
- Experience: GNM Diploma holders must have 2 years of relevant experience (as per notification).
- Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 40 years (age relaxation as per KGMU rules).
- Ability to work in shifts and handle clinical responsibilities in a high-volume hospital environment.
