Position: Personnel Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Personnel Officer to support end-to-end HR operations, ensure policy compliance, and strengthen employee engagement across the organization. This role partners with business leaders to deliver efficient HR services while maintaining high standards of confidentiality, documentation, and process governance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage core HR operations including onboarding, employee records, confirmations, transfers, and separations.
  • Support recruitment coordination: requisition tracking, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and offer documentation.
  • Administer HR policies and ensure adherence to applicable labor laws and internal compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate personnel files and HRIS data; generate periodic HR reports and dashboards.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs (attendance, leave, deductions) and liaise with payroll/finance teams to ensure timely processing.
  • Handle employee queries related to benefits, leave, policies, and workplace concerns with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support performance management cycles, documentation, and appraisal process coordination.
  • Assist with training logistics, induction programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support disciplinary and grievance handling processes by maintaining records, notices, and case documentation under guidance.
  • Coordinate statutory and compliance documentation (where applicable), audits, and internal HR process reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in HR operations/generalist roles (experience in public sector/large organizations is a plus).
  • Working knowledge of HR processes: recruitment support, onboarding, payroll coordination, leave & attendance, and employee relations.
  • Familiarity with labor laws and compliance practices relevant to the role and region.
  • Strong documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); HRIS exposure preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
