PGDM Admissions Counselor (IPE India)

IPE India is seeking a results-driven PGDM Admissions Counselor to support prospective students through the end-to-end admissions journey for our PGDM programs. This role is ideal for a candidate who is comfortable with high-volume student engagement, understands education admissions workflows, and can coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and compliant application experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for PGDM applicants, responding to inquiries via phone, email, chat, and in-person/virtual counseling sessions.
  • Guide candidates through the complete admissions lifecycle, including eligibility clarification, application submission, document collection, fee payment guidance, and interview/selection scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate applicant records in CRM/admissions systems; ensure timely updates on application status and next steps.
  • Coordinate with academic, marketing, and operations teams to align on intake timelines, seat availability, and selection process requirements.
  • Support admissions events such as webinars, open houses, campus visits, and partner outreach activities.
  • Provide information on program structure, specializations, pedagogy, placements, scholarships, and key dates.
  • Verify application completeness and document validity; flag discrepancies and follow up for resolution.
  • Assist in preparing candidate communications (admission offers, interview calls, reminders, and FAQs) using approved templates and compliance guidelines.
  • Track conversion metrics (lead-to-application, application-to-admit, admit-to-enroll) and contribute to weekly reporting.
  • Ensure a professional, ethical, and student-first counseling approach at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/PGDM or relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.
  • 1–4 years of experience in admissions counseling, education sales, student success, or related roles.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to explain processes clearly and empathetically.
  • Comfortable with targets, follow-ups, and structured outreach while maintaining a consultative approach.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools, spreadsheets, and documentation workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple applicants simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines during peak admission cycles.
  • High attention to detail for document verification, data entry, and compliance with institute policies.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours during events or peak intake periods.
