This role is for motivated graduates who want to serve in law enforcement and build a long-term career in policing. The selection process includes written examinations, physical tests, document verification, and medical examination as per BPSSC recruitment rules.
Responsibilities
- Maintain law and order and support public safety operations in assigned jurisdictions.
- Conduct preliminary inquiries, assist in investigations, and prepare required reports and documentation.
- Coordinate with senior officers and other units for field operations, patrols, and emergency response.
- Support community policing initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable procedures and directives.
- Perform duties requiring physical fitness, discipline, and adherence to departmental standards.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university/college in India.
- Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025):
- Minimum: 20 years
- Maximum: 37 years (General Male)
- Maximum: 40 years (General Female)
- Maximum: 40 years (BC/EBC Male & Female)
- Maximum: 42 years (SC/ST Male & Female)
- Age relaxation as per BPSSC SI recruitment rules.
- Physical Standard Test (PST):
- UR/BC (Male): Height 165 cm; Chest 81–86 cm
- EBC/SC/ST (Male): Height 160 cm; Chest 79–84 cm
- All Categories (Female): Height 155 cm; Weight 48 kg
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Running: Male 1 mile (1.6 km) in 6 min 30 sec; Female 1 km in 6 min
- High Jump: Male 4 ft; Female 3 ft
- Long Jump: Male 12 ft; Female 9 ft
- Shot Put (Gola Fek): Male 16 lb ball at least 16 ft; Female 12 lb ball at least 10 ft
- Ability to meet medical standards and complete all stages of selection.
- Strong integrity, discipline, and readiness for field duties.
