Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) invites applications for the role of Primary Teacher (PRT). The PRT will be responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate instruction to primary-level students, supporting holistic development, and maintaining high standards of classroom management and learning outcomes in alignment with KVS guidelines.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons for primary classes using effective pedagogical practices.
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being.
Assess student progress through classwork, assignments, tests, and continuous evaluation; maintain accurate academic records.
Identify learning gaps and provide remedial/enrichment support as required.
Integrate age-appropriate activities, teaching aids, and technology to enhance learning outcomes.
Support students’ social, emotional, and moral development through structured classroom practices.
Collaborate with other teachers and school leadership on academic planning, school events, and student support initiatives.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
Maintain discipline and uphold KVS/school policies, child safety norms, and professional conduct standards.
Participate in trainings, workshops, and other professional development programs as required.

Requirements

Educational Qualification (PRT): Any one of the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and B.Ed. passed; OR
- 10+2 with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; OR
- 10+2 with 50% marks and B.El.Ed / 2-year Diploma in Education (Special).
CTET: CTET Paper I passed (as applicable for PRT eligibility).
Strong command over classroom instruction, child-centric teaching methods, and learning assessment.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
Basic digital literacy for teaching/administrative tasks (preferred).
Willingness to accept posting anywhere in India as per organizational requirements.
