Position: Probationary Officer (PO)
We are seeking motivated, service-oriented candidates to join our banking team as Probationary Officers (PO). This role is designed for high-potential professionals who are ready to build a long-term career in retail and branch banking, customer service, operations, and credit support. The PO program provides structured exposure to core banking functions, guided mentorship, and performance-based progression.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day branch operations including account services, transaction processing, and customer query resolution.
- Develop and manage customer relationships; understand financial needs and recommend suitable banking products (deposits, loans, cards, digital channels).
- Assist in preliminary credit assessment, documentation checks, and coordination for loan processing and disbursement.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (KYC/AML, audit readiness, risk controls).
- Handle service requests and complaints with professionalism; ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Promote digital banking adoption and educate customers on safe banking practices.
- Participate in training rotations across functions such as operations, sales, credit, and customer service.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare routine reports as required by branch leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Master’s/MBA/Finance background is a plus).
- Strong communication skills, customer-first mindset, and professional ethics.
- Basic understanding of banking concepts, financial products, and service operations (preferred).
- Comfort with technology and standard office/banking software; willingness to learn core banking systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities with accuracy.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and compliance orientation.
- Willingness to work in branch environments and be deployed based on organizational needs.
