Responsibilities
- Participate in on-the-job training under the supervision of designated railway personnel and technical mentors.
- Assist in routine technical tasks related to the assigned trade (as per ITI specialization) and follow standard operating procedures.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and adherence to safety standards within workshops, sheds, depots, or other assigned railway units.
- Support basic maintenance, inspection, and repair activities as instructed during the apprenticeship period.
- Keep training records/logs as required and cooperate during assessments and evaluations.
- Comply with medical fitness and verification requirements as per Indian Railways norms.
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Class 10th / SSC (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
- Technical Qualification: ITI Certification in the relevant trade from an NCVT-approved institute.
- Age Limit (as on 03 December 2024):
- Minimum: 15 years
- Maximum: 24 years
- Age relaxation: As per applicable recruitment rules.
- Other: Candidate must be able to clear Document Verification and Medical Examination.
