Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured apprenticeship training in the allotted trade as per the Apprentices Act and Railway guidelines.
  • Assist technical teams in routine maintenance, repair, fitting, inspection, and workshop activities (as applicable to the trade/unit).
  • Follow safety procedures, standard operating practices, and instructions from supervisors/training officers.
  • Maintain discipline, attendance, and training records as required during the apprenticeship period.
  • Support housekeeping and tool/equipment handling practices in workshops/depots while adhering to safety norms.

Requirements

  • Education: Class 10th pass from a recognized board in India.
  • Technical Qualification: ITI Certificate in the relevant trade.
  • Age Limit (as on 05 August 2024):
    • Minimum: 15 years
    • Maximum: 24 years
    • Age relaxation as per applicable rules
  • Ability to work in an industrial/workshop environment and follow safety and compliance requirements.
  • Basic communication skills and willingness to learn on the job.
